About Mummatto
Finnish textile art studio by artist-weaver Tuuli
Mummatto is a Finnish textile art studio led by artist-weaver Tuuli. The studio creates collectible ONE OF ONE floor artworks at the meeting point of craft, daily use, and fine art.
Each piece is handwoven in Finland with traditional techniques, cotton, and upcycled fabrics. The studio produces fewer than twenty pieces a year, honouring the slow process behind every composition.

Are all Mummatto rugs ONE OF ONE?
Yes. Every rug is handwoven in Finland using upcycled fabrics, so each composition is unique. Made-to-order pieces follow the visual language of a reference without becoming exact copies.
How long does it take to receive a custom order?
Lead times reflect the artist’s annual capacity. Rugs 50-70 cm wide take about 3 months; 80-90 cm widths take about 6 months. Tuuli weaves fewer than twenty pieces each year.
Can I request a custom size or colour scheme?
Yes. Every design can serve as a reference for custom sizes and palettes while respecting the artist’s visual language. Tuuli selects materials to meet your wishes and creative intent.
How should I care for my Mummatto rug?
We recommend regular vacuuming without a beater bar and occasional professional cleaning. Each rug arrives with a care guide to help preserve its texture and colour.
Where is Mummatto made?
All compositions are handwoven in Finland on traditional local looms, using techniques passed down through generations. The studio produces fewer than twenty pieces per year.
